Document Preparation

When you need legal documents, you have three choices to get the job done.

• Court rule permits you to complete your own legal documents
• You may retain an attorney licensed to practice in Arizona to assist you with court forms and provide legal advice about your legal matter, or
• You may hire a legal document specialist, called an Arizona Certified Legal Document Preparer (AZCLDP) to complete court forms without the supervision of an attorney.

While an AZCLSP cannot offer legal advice, recommend case strategies or legal remedies, engage in settlement negotiations, or represent you in Court, his or her certification authorizes him or her to prepare or provide legal documents, file documents with the Court and arrange for service of your legal documents.
